fake fur-y

So, I really need to make better use of this blog.  It seems like I only use it to change the theme around.  I am going to aim for one post a day.  Even if it is just a picture.  Which will hopefully motivate me to start using the $600 dollar camera that I just HAD to have 4 months ago, which sits there collecting dust now.
My day so far:
Lots of coffees.  Need the caffeine but also the warmth because it is like WINTER outside.  I don`t know when I turned into one of those Winnipeggers that I make fun of, who is completely BLINDSIDED when winter comes knocking on the door again.  Every year.  It`s caught me off guard, this snow.
However, I did wear my new winter jacket, which is a lovely shade of beige (it is really, even though that sounds sooo boring.  It`s all soft and seude-y on the outisde (someone at the school asked me if it was seude, I was like "I don't know"....  some seamstress I am...) and then all warm-and-fuzzy-fakefur-y on the inside. I really like it.  I got three compliments on it today.
And then I remembered, my MOM gave me this jacket.
I was just talking to someone at the school yesterday about how we are turning into our moms with our '"Wear your jacket"s and our "You are so not walking out of the house like that"s and then it hits me again today.
My mom is cool. She's fun.  She's got good jackets and good shoes.  But I am NOT ready to turn into my MOM.  When did I get older???
Anyway, whatever.  I got three compliments today.  That never happens, so I'm going to forget the rest and take that and run with it.  (Where would I run to?  How would I carry that?  Why am I using such a STUPID saying???)
Ok, off to start my coffee drinking and blog reading.  Hopefully I will get my bum off the chair and do some cleaning.

photos & etsy

I opened an Esty shop. The link is over there on the left sidebar. This skirt will be going in there soon. I made my daughter model it for me cuz I'm a mean mom like that. She went on and on about how 'embarrassing' it was. While she posed like a supermodel. She's cute.

Here is our puppy. Mr. Sweaters is getting big. He likes to eat things. Everything he can reach.

He ate his 'baby'.

He had some friends over. He hasn't eaten them yet, thank goodness. His friends are two of the cutest puppies.. Ever.

And I made my hubby a nerdy cake for his first day of school. He went back to school to become a nurse. I am a supportive wife. Obviously.

Have fun.. be back later!

Can we go home now?

Some pics of the kids from the park last week. Not too many really good ones, but some cute ones anyhow. :)

My daughter's 'smoldering' look (to quote my sister, hehe)

Aww, he's so cute.

Darling. Lots of shadow here though.

Again, shadow - but I think my sister was taking pics from a good angle here.

So cute. Got the focus wrong, which is on his shoes and not his face, but still not toooo bad.

They each wanted no part of this, so I was luck to snap even one of them together.

Erika is tired of it, and Owen is trying to escape.

Not a 'great' photo, but I just love the look on my nephew's face. I am going to do a close crop of him on the high quality photo and print it out. Priceless.

Owen's behind Erika here, but I love the movement.

Lost the top of his head, otherwise an all right photo.

Again, cut his head off!

Done with this. Want. A. Slurpee.

My little model. With half the proper teeth. hehe.

Lovely. Even if the photo is pretty predictable, I love seeing her face on film.

Thanks for looking. Hope you enjoyed.
